The Church and the Call to Feed the Hungry
As the body of Christ, the church is not only called to preach the Word but to live it through compassionate action. One of the most powerful expressions of God’s love is found in how we care for the most vulnerable—especially those who are hungry.
Jesus said in Matthew 25:35, “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink…” When we feed the hungry, we are not just meeting a physical need—we are honoring Christ Himself.
Feeding the hungry reflects the true heart of the Gospel. It is where mercy meets mission. It reminds the world that the church is not just a building, but a beacon of hope, help, and healing.
Every meal given in love is a seed planted in someone’s heart. It opens doors for salvation, restores dignity, and shows people that they are not forgotten.
