Modern Day History Falls From Grace

We must never allow anything or anyone to distract us from the place God has taken us to. Never allow the love of money or the glamour of fame or the greed of power to separate you from the love of God.

History has told us and modern day humanity has shown us that no one above mistakes; we all make mistakes. The Bible said we all have sinned but the grace of God is sufficient. God will restore if we repent. Every human will experience the problem of temptation that may cause them to lose their faith in God or to fall from the grace of God. Starting with the Bible days until this present time, we have stories of men or women who have fallen fall from grace, due to sexual misconduct, drugs, pride, greed, power, fame, and several other things.

Let’s see an example in the scripture and how it relates to modern-day falls from grace:

2 Timothy 4:10

Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia; Titus unto Dalmatia.

Demas had at one time been one of Paul’s fellow workers in the gospel ministry. He was with Paul during Paul’s first imprisonment in Rome. There is also biblical evidence that Demas was with Paul during his second imprisonment in Rome, at least for a while. Demas forsook Paul, abandoned the ministry and left town. Demas had abandoned Paul in a time of need. Demas left Rome because he fell in love with the world. In other words, Demas chose the corrupt value system of the unsaved world over what heaven values. Demas loves the things of this life.

This is the story of some men in today’s modern- world system. Many have fallen from grace due to their love for the pleasure of the world. There have been great men and women in present time who have lost it due to pride, anger, money, power, drugs, and sexual misconduct, sometimes with the same sex, sexual orientation or gender.

When we prioritize material wealth or the things in this world over God we rewrite our destiny. We become spiritually blind and unteachable. Many have spiritual gifts but there is absolutely no anointing or power. Certainly, they care for no one but themselves. They love no one, only their own personal agenda. Paul said in (1Corinthiasns 13:1) “Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.”

We must never allow anything or anyone to distract us from the place God has taken us to. Never allow the love of money or the glamour of fame or the greed of power to separate you from the love of God. We must prioritize our walk with God and remain honest, sincere, focus, prayerful, and truthful. We must value our relationship with God more than anything else even life.

Many examples of how great men and women have fallen from grace is written in the Bible to help keep us from falling into temptation or from our spiritual place with God. We must be wise to every trick of the enemy of your soul. Jesus came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. May God make you wiser and help you navigate through life’s temptations.

DISCUSSING CONTEMPORARY EXAMPLES OF GREAT MEN AND WOMEN WHO HAVE FALLEN FROM GRACE IN TODAY'S CHURCH

There are many generals in the Kingdom of God. Great men and women placed in spiritual positions to help us travel through life’s challenges. However, many of them have lost their anointing and have become an embracement to the Kingdom of God. In our modern day church, we have so many preachers who fallen from grace. Souls don’t matter, ministry calling does not matter, pleasing God does not matter, the only things that matters to them is their personal goals. They are greedy, they have lost the fear of God, have financially raped the churches and abundant their faith in God.

I am so embraced by conversations that highlight spiritual men or women who have used the pulpit for personal gain. May called themselves Doctors, Apostles, Prophets, Prophetess, Bishop, Pastors or Evangelist. They are in it for title, position and power. Many members promote and continue to support these types of leaders. This is truly a sad day for the church and for the Kingdom of God.

I know that we must not put our trust or confidence in man but God placed many of them in spiritual leadership roles to help us grow spiritually.

I would love to make a list and share their stories. However, that is not necessary because our job is not to judge them but pray for them.

There are many lessons to learn from the mistakes of others. We must always understand that the enemy of our soul is out to steal, kill and destroy. The Bible teaches us that whosoever wins a soul is wise.

Regardless of how blessed we are or how great God have allowed us to become, we must remain meek, humble and obedient. We must teach others to avoid the pitfalls of the enemy trap.

There is one example from the life of a great preacher that we must examine. William Braham was a preacher and revivalist who, in his days, turned many to righteousness in Christ Jesus through his preaching and demonstration of the power of God. It was said that he did much exploiting for God’s kingdom in his days.

However, he made some mistakes and his death inspired lots of debates even to our modern day times. He started well, but some way along the way his fame caused him to stumble and fall. William Braham got caught up in fame and pride to the point that he became unteachable taking the credit from God. Willian called himself the Elijah to come as he began to listen to the accolades from the people. He was warned by some of God’s preachers but refused to listen. These events of his life brought him to his death. William surrounded himself with people that always tell him “yes” rather that tell him the truth.

The story of William Braham was one of pride and fame. It teaches us to be careful who we have in our circle and the power of grace.

Today, God continue to use men and women who have imperfections. We are not a perfect people but the grace of God is sufficient for our lives. God never uses qualify people, He qualifies people He uses.
